Sharpton and Rush Limbaugh

Al Sharpton raises his ugly head again:

The Rev. Al Sharpton wants the National Football League to block conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh from bidding on the St. Louis Rams.

Sharpton sent a letter to NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell on Monday. He said Limbaugh has been divisive and "anti-NFL" in some of his comments.

Mark Steyn on The Nobel Peace Prize

Mark Steyn nails it:
As the historian Robert Dallek told Obama recently, “War kills off great reform movements.” As the Washington Post’s E. J. Dionne reminded the president, his supporters voted for him not to win a war but to win a victory on health care and other domestic issues. Obama’s priorities lie not in the Hindu Kush but in America: Why squander your presidency on trying to turn an economically moribund feudal backwater into a functioning nation state when you can turn a functioning nation state into an economically moribund feudal backwater?

Carter Redux

Awarding the Nobel Peace Prize to Obama is nothing more than Carter Redux. Carter, as you may remember, won the prize in 2002 for running around declaiming the President of the United States, George W Bush, as a warmonger. Bush had asked the world to focus their attention directly on the megalomaniacal dictator sitting in Baghdad and was beating the drums for direct action against him. In awarding the NPP to Carter, the Leftists in charge of that body believed they could influence US foreign policy. This prize is no different. It's an attempt to thwart any military options that the US has on the table with regard to Afghanistan or Iran. And it may just work because President Obama is so soft-headed.

More Indoctrination from the Left

Indoctrination is the province of the Left

Totalitarianism is just that - total control of everything including the politics of your 14(?) year olds.

Get Back

Monday, October 5, 2009

I bet if you asked 1,000 Americans who the head of the Republican Party was, 10% might know. And an even smaller subsegment of that group would know that Michael Steele is black. The media spent virtually no time reporting on his historic election to that position.

And don't expect them to pay any attention at least until he gets fired for not doing an incredibly good job.

Just found this version of one of my all time favorites songs and probably my favorite Springsteen song.
